In the North of Yakutia will be established proving ground of the scientific-educational center (REC) “North” for a comprehensive study of the Eastern sector of the Russian Arctic and solving problems of power supply remote Northern settlements. It is reported TASS with reference to the Minister for development of the Arctic and the peoples of the Republic Vladimir Zernogradskogo.
The construction of the plant provided under the comprehensive development plan Tiksi to 2025. According to Zernogradskogo, a polygon can do testing of alternative energy sources and conservation. “In addition, in Tiksi you can organize primary and deep processing of biotechnological Arctic bioraw materials, design and construction of buildings and structures that are adapted to Arctic conditions, including the dome,” said the official.
He noted that the appearance of the landfill will contribute to the development of tourist-recreation cluster “Russian North Arctic”, the formation of the Yakut scientific center, Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and International center for scientific research in the Arctic on the basis of the resources of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). The latter will study the natural environment in the Eastern sector of the Russian Arctic.
