Press Secretary of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko Natalia Eismont said that his rating dropped spring on the background of the situation with the spread of the coronavirus. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
In her opinion, this was due to unpopular measures, however, Eismont said that the rating also “strongly influence information flows, that wrote to destabilize the situation”.
The press Secretary noted that to make decisions against the background of the pandemic Lukashenko was not easy. “In our country, so built a system of power that is actually responsible for all one man, who, we understand. And to take responsibility to neglect the interests, and especially the health of people one never would dare,” said she.
Eismont believes that the situation is aligned with the coronavirus worldwide, however, the Belarusian authorities “continue to go leisurely by knocking on wood”.
According to the latest data, in Belarus since the beginning of the pandemic, it was revealed over 67 thousand cases of coronavirus. Died in 548 patients, recovered more than 60 thousand. The country had imposed strict quarantine restrictions. Lukashenko explained this decision by economic reasons and cited the situation of coronavirus in the world of psychosis. He insisted that Belarus has chosen the right path to combat the pandemic, the country is working and “somehow breathes”.
