Russian tourists on the background introduced due to pandemic coronavirus restrictions massively bought tickets to several destinations within the country. This is evidenced by the results of a study of tourist service Biletix, arrived in edition “Tapes.ru”.
According to the data obtained, the most popular among domestic travellers in August were five routes — Sochi (25 percent of all bookings in Russia), Crimea (24%), Anapa (11), Saint Petersburg (5) and Kaliningrad (4).
In addition, it became known that, despite the gradual opening of borders to foreign missions account for only eight percent of the bookings, flights to Russia amounted to 92 per cent. The leader of the recovery in demand among the regional centers were Tyumen (an increase 3.3 times), Volgograd (2,4), Rostov-on-don (2,2), Tomsk (2,2) and Chelyabinsk (1,2).
In General, the volume of the bookings back in the country with the departure in August rose by a quarter compared to the same period last year, the average bill increased by 17 percent — from 10.9 to 12.9 thousand rubles.
