The candidate on a post of the President of Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovski in an interview with “the Ribbon.ru” has evaluated the possibility of revolution in the country.
She noted that the Belarusians come to share with peaceful purposes: “we Have no weapons, no intention somehow to shed blood. We want to do everything peacefully and honestly. And the fact that now we show the troops who is the current President demonstrate exercises for the crackdown is simply a method of intimidation of people.”
According to her, the opposition does not want any Maidan. Tikhanovski, therefore, expressed the hope that the police will not go against their own people.
“This year we all came together, all United, we understand that the majority of us. And people who are now on the ground, police officers, riot police and soldiers — they also understand this. And they just step over your fear (I don’t know what they are guided) and just will not execute a criminal order if he will be given”, — said the politician.
Previously on 30 July, the joint staff Tikhanovski announced the largest in the history of Belarus meeting in Minsk. The organizers warned that in connection with strengthening of security measures in the Park of peoples ‘ Friendship will proceed, and at the entrance the police will carry out the inspection.
Against this background, in Minsk pulled troops. State Secretary of security Council Andrey Ravkov said that Belarus continues to search 170 “Russian militants” who threaten the holding of mass events. Before the country had detained 33 of the Russians, who are considered the mercenaries of private military companies (PMCs) Wagner. They are accused of preparing a terrorist act and the organization of mass riots.
