Belarus asked Ukraine to study the case of “Russian militants”

Belarus gave Ukraine a list of the detainees “Russian militants” and asked me to investigate their Affairs. This was stated by Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba, reports RIA Novosti.

“A list of detained citizens of Belarus and foreign Ministry of Belarus has approached us with a request to transmit said document to the competent authorities of Ukraine to verify that such persons committing crimes in our state and participation in military operations [in the Donbas],” said the Minister.

According to him, law enforcement agencies are actively working to list and check all those detained on the subject of the citizenship of Ukraine. Kuleba reminded that the country cannot have dual citizenship, so anyone who has a Ukrainian passport, are considered as citizens of Ukraine.

Belarus has not put forward any accusations against Ukraine, he concluded.

July 30 the state Secretary of security Council Andrey Ravkov said that Belarus continues to search 170 “Russian militants” who threaten the destabilization of the situation in the country ahead of the presidential election.

Earlier in the Republic were detained 33 Russians who are considered the mercenaries of private military companies (PMCs) Wagner. They are accused of preparing a terrorist act and the organization of mass riots. Russians associate with the case against the failed presidential candidate, blogger Sergei Tikhanovski.

The security service of Ukraine (SBU) intends to demand the extradition of the detainees. Some of them have Ukrainian citizenship.
