In the Volgograd region employees of FSB have detained six members of a banned terrorist organization “Tablighi Jamaat”. On Friday, July 31, reports RIA Novosti
According to the Agency, the police detained the organizer and five ordinary members of the eliminated cell. Conducted searches and questioning of witnesses. As a result of searches of the detainees were found the banned extremist literature.
In 2009, the Supreme court recognized the “Tablighi Jamaat” as extremist organization and banned its activities. Religious movement is also banned in several other countries, including in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
On 27 July it was reported that the FSB prevented a terrorist attack planned in Moscow. Detectives attempted to detain the suspect near the abandoned garages in the Moscow suburb of Khimki, the man started shooting.
