Detained in Belarus Russians Minsk believes fighters of private military companies (PMCs) Wagner, working in the private security company, told the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. It is quoted by TASS on Friday, July 31.
Peskov said that the Russians have not done anything illegal. “They were EN route to Istanbul and stayed in Republic because I missed it. Their stay has nothing to do with Belarus or with Belarusian Affairs”, — said Peskov.
A Kremlin spokesman stressed that the groundless arrest of 33 Russians are not quite within the parameters of allied relations.
29 July in Belarus were detained 33 people. The Republic’s authorities think that they came to destabilize the situation in the country ahead of presidential elections on 9 August.
