Russia can fully open the air service on 11 August. This became known two sources of TASS in the industry.
According to the interlocutor of the Agency, such a possibility was discussed at a recent meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Tatiana Golikova. However, the final decision to open flights to all countries is not accepted.
Russia resumed international flights from August 1. At the first stage flights will be carried out only from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-don. Countries with which the flights will recover in the first place, was the UK (London), Turkey (from August 1, Ankara and Istanbul, from August 10 — Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman) and Tanzania (Zanzibar island). The list will be gradually expanded according to the epidemiological situation.
The decision to suspend flights was made by Russia at the end of March due to the spread of COVID-19. The exceptions were the export routes, the flights organized for the return of Russians from abroad, as well as private flights on behalf of the government.
Since the end of June, according to the government decision, citizens of Russia can go abroad to work, study, obtain medical care and treatment of relatives. The restrictions on the departure of Russians abroad with the purpose of tourist stay remains in effect, and according to the forecasts of industry experts, can continue at least until autumn.
