The head of the Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin revealed plans to send the expedition to the asteroid in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to him, the enterprise “Roscosmos” has begun to develop methods of landing a spacecraft on an asteroid. He added that such technologies may appear to 2030.
“The difficulty is how to cling to an asteroid. However, this task our engineers a clear and proactively with companies such work begins to take place”, — said Rogozin. However, he did not begin to specify, about landing on some asteroid was going on.
Previously Rogozin gave an interview on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the creation of the Roscosmos. He appreciated the new American spacecraft SpaceX Crew Dragon and the Boeing Cockpit. According to him, they are more glamorous than the Russian “Soyuz”, although, in fact, are his analogues.
In December 2019 Rogozin wanted to create a unique “Elevator” to the moon. He announced plans to create a universal lander for delivery to the moon of goods and told that “lift” will cost “huge money,” but did not give an exact amount.
